Come join me for a weekend of sculpting the figure in clay, directly from life! In this workshop, we will be copying the model's torso and scaling it down to half-life size. However, if you are interested in copying a different part of the body, let me know!

The focus of the class will be on understanding the anatomy and proportions of the figure. I will be demonstrating the underlying anatomical structures through processes like drawing muscles directly on to the model. We will take basic measurements from the model to establish her proportions, but mainly work on improving our observational skills and creating a fresh study which captures the essence of the model. 

All workshops are taught in small groups including individuals with a range of abilities. Whether you are experienced or a complete beginner, this class is a perfect exercise for you to improve your sculpting skills. All materials and tools will be provided. 

At the end of this course, you will have produced a carefully observed, life-like body - portrait that can be photographed for your portfolio. You can take your work away with you if you wish to do so for an added fee of £ 7.00 for the material.
