Saturday and Sunday, 10:30am-5pm each day. Limited to 7 spaces. Come join me for a weekend of sculpting the portrait from life in clay! During this workshop, we will be modelling the portrait at life-size scale. Portrait sculpture is a wonderfully absorbing and intense experience. Through the process of measurement taking and close observation, you will learn to carefully reproduce what you see, and understand the underlying structure of the human form. The focus of the course will be on improving our observational skills and creating a fresh study that captures the essence of the model. All workshops are taught in small groups including individuals with a range of abilities. Whether you are experienced or a complete beginner, this class is a perfect exercise for you to improve your sculpting skills. At the end of this course, you will have produced a carefully observed, life-like portrait that can be photographed for your portfolio. You can take your work away ( just the clay portrait) or have it fired in the kiln for an additional fee, ask us about it! All materials and tools will be provided. This is an intense class but also a wonderful one, come and join me for a weekend of sculpture, concentration, and art!
